The Porsche 914-6 Club USA is pleased to announce the Certificate of Vehicle Information.
As the owner of a Porsche 914-6 that was originally sold in the United States, you may have tried to search for historical information about your car. The 914-6 Club USA can now provide key information in the form of a certificate suitable for framing (see sample on this page).
In our archive, we have data indicating the date of initial sale, home town of the original owner, and where in the order of all 914-6 USA sales your car fits in. Was your 914-6 the first sold, the last, or somewhere in the middle? Now, you can find out. Some 1970-71 914-6s were not sold until years after production ended. They sat, unregistered, at dealerships. Learn where your 914-6 fits in the sequence.
Note: Our documentation is based on data reported to VW of America by dealerships at the time of original sale. Some entries may be incomplete depending on the information submitted by the dealerships. Each certificate will reflect the data we have on file.
Our data is ONLY for Porsche 914-6 automobiles that were officially imported to the USA and sold by Porsche-Audi, a Division of Volkswagen of America. We have NO data for any 914-6 privately imported.
Your Certificate may include:
• Your 914-6 VIN.
• The date it was first sold by the dealer.
• The home town of the original owner.
• The sequence of the sale i.e. 834 of 1,663 1970 914-6s sold in the USA.
Certificates are printed on parchment paper and are suitable for framing. They are signed by the founders or the Porsche 914-6 Club USA and the Porsche 914 Owners Association.
Each certificate includes a one year membership in the Porsche 914-6 Club USA.
